When is the best time for a maternity shoot?
Most maternity photoshoots are done between about 28 and 34 weeks. By then the bump is beautifully round, but you're usually still comfortable enough to move and pose easily. If you're expecting twins or have been advised to rest, earlier is better — tell me your due date and we'll pick a window that suits you.
Studio or outdoor?
Studio
Controlled light, props, flowing fabrics and a warm, private setting — ideal in Indore's hotter or rainy months.
Outdoor
Soft golden-hour light at a park or garden for a natural, airy look. Weather-dependent, so we keep a backup date.
What to wear
- Form-fitting outfits or flowing gowns that show the bump
- Solid colours photograph better than busy prints
- Bring your partner's outfit too if it's a couple session
- A studio gown/drape can usually be arranged — just ask
Comfort comes first
Sessions are paced slowly with breaks, so you never feel rushed or on your feet too long. Poses are gentle and guided — you don't need any experience in front of the camera.
